Well were now in Xian, we got of our what seemed like first class area of the chinese train...we didn't sleep a wink, it sounded like someone was throwing a tennis ball around the compartment, screaming and shaking our beds. We stepped out into the slums i swear! Masses of people were surrounding the exit of the train station and trust me all eyes were on us, very intimidating, we decided to get in the cue for the taxi, lots of people came up to us "take you where you wanna go" and people trying to sell stuff, i would of taken pictures but i thought best to keep my valuables close and away from thiefing eyes.
We had just got in the cue and a young chinese girl asked where we were going and staying we told her and she said follow me, she took us to some men holding 'JACK PALMER' in the air, very freaky seeing as we were not expecting anyone to pick us up. They took us to the hostel and driving through Xian was actually really good, suprisingly Lois Vuitton and two Gucci shops along with a big mall!
Our hostel looks fantastic there is a bar with british beers everyone speeks english (the chinese people anyway), a westernised food restaurant and pool table. Its much better then the hotel we stayed in in Beijing, it wont feel like were sleeping in a coffin here..and it only costs about 20pounds for 2 nights!!!
At the moment were relaxing in our room trying to get some rest, its weird to think its 3:00am now at home. Jack's beside me drifting off yet he does seem quite into the fat chinese christian prog rock on the telly, he turns between that, chinese dancing on ice and a chinese CSI...will write again soon as we have free wifi here at the hostel, thanks for the messages, keep writing more we like to here from you. Be safe, we miss you Tom and Jack x
