Well after our last journal we did decide to go Elephant treking and it was fantastic. Maybe when we can actually load the photos onto these prehistoric internet speed computers we will actually be able to show you as they are fantastic. I had a lovely elephant who kept on sniffing my feet and wraping his trunk around me. I think Jackwas getting jelous as it didnt like the smell of him !!!!!
After the hour elephant trek through the forrest we had a 30 minute trek on foot to reach some caves which i thought would be nice and cool being out of the sun. When we got there the little none speaking English Thai man got out head torches and wanted us to follow him through these caves which was ok till he showed me the tiny gap he wanted me to squeeze through. Naturally me being me, said No Thank you (very polietly) and told him id wait while he took Jack through. Jack decided to go after him and shouts back that i wouldnt have like it anyway as it was full of spiders the size of my hand and bats. Needless to say i was quite happy to site in the coolness of the cave and wait for them. We they finally came out Jack looked and smelt like hed been rolling around in Elephant poo, he was covered in brown, smelly mud which took a few showers to wash off. He said it was fun though.
We decided to go to Koh Jam ( Koh means island in Thai,Nikki i know you were wondering about this !) They didnt have 24 hour electricity and the island was really small but it was fantastic. Very quiet. It was a bit strange though as the large boat couldnt get near the island as its too rocky so some small long tail boats came out in the middle of the sea to get us. We had to transfere ourselves and our bags while the boat was going along slowly then onto the island. We had 2 nights there and we have arrived in Krabi today.
When we got here we thought it was near the beach but there isnt a beach here so were staying tonight and moving to Ao Nang tomorrow for 2 nights.
Were really enjoying ourselves but cant beleive that its gone so quickly and that its nearly xmas. Sorry if we havent replied to all your messages you put on the message board but it takes so long to write messages so i thought id do a quick one:
