So Goa was great, and we got the train to Mumbai with no problems at all. When we arrived, we went to stay in Colaba, as that was really the only place we knew where to go! We stayed in a hotel just behind the Taj Palace - security was pretty high and we had to explain ourselves why we were walking next to the Taj when we were trying to get to our room!
We had a fairly uneventful time in Mumbai, we shopped for 2 days and then the last 2 days we went to a posh hotel and paid to use the swimming pool and sun loungers - getting the last of the sun before we flew home!
We got up early on Tuesday to get to the airport - thinking we would be all organised, and the taxi broke down twice on the way there! Typical! We were still rediculously early though, because we just didn't know what the traffic would be like, and really didn't want to miss the flight! Mumbai airport is a dump, and we had a good few boring hours there. The flight was on time, it was really good flight, we had 3 seats each to ourselves because there was only about 50 people on this huge 777!! The plane was really new and really comfy, and there were good films and stuff on. We actually touched down at Terminal 5 Heathrow 20 minutes early! Getting the bags was no drama's either. When we walked through i was expecting Jack's dad to be there, but mum and dad had driven down from Scotland just to pick us up! It was a really nice surprise!
That evening Jack got his long awaited chippy chips! The next few days are going to be visiting people, and then i fly to Scotland on Sunday!
Well, that could be the last of the blogs for a while, but we might write some if we go away for weekends and put pics on (for you G&G!!). Can't believe we are finally home after so long!
