Hi, so fist things the flight was horrible ended up taking 2 hole days just to get here! Stopped at Singapore for a few hours on the way, very humid in Singapore but was cool. Then got back on the same plane and had to sit next to a 1 yr old ! Not the ideal person to sit next to but hey. Then got off at Sydney and getting lost and it taking about 2 hours to cue to get throu immigration. I still don't know how they let me in as I didn't actually have a Visia until feb. then waited at the Airport for about 5 hours then jumped onto the next flight to Auckland. Made it.
Met a few people in the hostel and an 18 yr old from holland. He was just starting his trip around nz too, we the next day we went to Auckland d to get some camping gear, he had no clue of anything to so with camping or cooking, someone in the hostel had to show him how to make a cup of t. So in Auckland he wanted to buy a single skin tent for about £10 but I had to explan to him that this was a kids play tent and would prob last about to nights. Ha. Eventually found all the stuff we needed and we had a walk around the city avoiding the huge islanders with face tatoos, not the friendlyist looks bunch. I left Tomas in Auckland and got a buss back to where I was staying . When I got back I was starvin Marvin so walked down the the local fish and chip shop, Whitch was also full of huge locals but they seemed ok orders fish and chips and she said £1.50! So I thought I'd have two as they must be fish fingers or summing. They were the biggest portions I had ever seen, and I had 2 for just over £3 bargain. In the hostel were 2 English blokes got talking to them And turns out they were from haywards heath! Very odd. How can u meet half way round the world and find ppl from ur town. Anyhoo went for a few beers with them and called it a night.
