Day 20 - Wednesday - Off to Provo
Up early for the taxi to the airport and the flight to see Kate and Pablo. Can't believe how simple it was to get through Atlanta airport. Kerbside check in and through security and everything in 20 mins, not like when we arrived or Manchester check in.
Flight with Delta was nice and smooth and no problems.
We've booked an apartment at The Island Club in Grace Bay and it's pretty good with nice quiet pool and the place is very quiet.
Kate and Pablo arrived about 5 o'clock after a day's diving hot and tired but so excited to see us.
Had a great catch up and food and arranged to see them tomorrow after work.
Day 21 - Thursday - Provo
Woken up about 7am by a knocking on the door.
Vin answered it and in walks Kate with her arm in a sling!
On the way home from ours last night at 9:30 they were in a car crash.
Going round a roundabout they were hit by a fifteen year old boy who had stolen his mothers car and hit them at about 50 miles an hour.
Kate's side of the car was bashed in hit her shoulder and bumped her head.
She went to hospital for X-rays but nothing is broken, just badly bruised. Pablo is fine but shaken up and had to work the next day doing 2 dives.
They didn't get back from the hospital until about 2:30 in the morning so I don't know how he did it.
Big thanks due to Danny from Dive Provo who turned up within minutes and helped them out.
The car is a write off totally.
Kate's sore and tired and needs to rest her arm but it could have been so much worse.
Not the start to the week we wanted to say the least.
Just shows that life on the Islands can be unpredictable.
Spent the day round the pool with Kate catching up and looking after her.
