After three and a half years in Margaret River, I am packing up my life again and heading to Marlborough, New Zealand.
While a job has been the catalyst to get me to go, my feet have been itchy for the past six months of so - which suprised me because I have loved my time in Margs (after I survived the first winter that is). I have clicked with the community, got involved in new ventures, enjoyed my work, become a pet owner and bought into a house so it appeared on many levels I had found my place to settle down.
But, still single and still with a passion for travel that can't be contained by four weeks annual leave a year, I have just about completed the easiest move of my life to prepare for NZ. Given how easy everhthing has fallen into place I would have to agree with the many who have commented 'it's obviously meant to be' and that is making me unbelievably excited about what NZ holds in store for me.
But I will miss Margs, and the friends I have made here. I'm confident I will be back because Margs has been the closest thing to home in a very long time.
And yes, Summer, my beautiful cat will be racking up the frequent flyers too.
