SO fiji arrived in nadi and stayed 1 night with Susie at Smugglers - we met the boys the next day and were ready to go island hoping.
We got this pass so could choose which islands to go to and did it all ourselves. Our first stop was Mana where we stayed for a couple of nights. The backpackers place we stayed was on a village- a great chance to experience the life of people in Fiji. Mana was a really good first stop, I did snorkling (i cut myself on coral in shallow water not cool), we made cocunut necklaces, met really nice people who all ended up going with us to beachcomber for nye (thats like 4th biggest party place in world or smth). Beachcomber nye was funny but the food there was s*** and as an island v little to do, as a party though - was BUZZING!!
The 3rd island was my fav - Mantaray where the staff were amazing and i did my diving course wooow!! Literally loved it there, did 7 dives incl shark and caves and just ye was a really good crowd. On one night there was a mahusive boat with 21yr old boy who came onto the island and everyone got smashed and partied! But ye diving and all that was sweet! I saw a Mantaray and swam with it and just as an island I loved it!
The last island was more relaxed but did quite lot of activites there - we went to blue lagoon and this island which only exists in low tide which was pretty cool and went to these caves aswel hich was fun! I think on 3 islands i got thrown into the sea by fijians or foegiers and and we did cava on mainland and in Mana - Cava is a weird muddywater drink which is really interestin! all fijians drink it its like makes u tired and hallucinate ifu have a lot - i was just tired.
Overall fiji people are sooo ridiculously friendly like the nicest people youll meet! I had such a good trip to Fiji and was so great going with people I knew! Although travelling alone is fun I really enjoyed going with Susie, Greg, Alex and Morten! I still think its the experiences but mainly the people who are with you that make those experiences! Its weird thinking a lot of people I met I won't see again. Its hard to think in lifebthats what happens but tbh throughout all travels I've learnt so much about life and what to expect!
Back in Brisbane atm Im waiting for time to tick by as tomorrow I'll be off to THAILAND!! I can't quite believe the adventure is still running for the next 5 weeks!
