A Boring First Day in Exciting City!
Edinburgh, UK
The first official day in Edinburgh! It is such a beautiful city but its also such a trek from the train station to the bus station, and back with such a heavy bag, my shoulders are now in need of a massage to recover from their heavy burden!
After dumping our bags at the bus station we headed to the national museum. For me, Kate and Jess it was a bit boring so instead of learning something new we went and played all the kiddies games instead: dressing up and all! Eventually, after walking round, knocking down a "castle" using a "catapult" taking pictures in space and chilling with Buddah we decided our favourite part of the museum was actually the stairs! It sounds strange, but museums aren't really my thing- especially after a long train journey.
After exploring the museum for a while we headed all the way back to the bus station and back to search for the travel lodge, ifI thought the journey to the bus station was far, this in comparison was like a trek across the sarah desert! The room is okay, quite the quality I expected for a decent priced room- the door didnt work right, as it was meant to close automatically but our didn't; this actually turned out to be more of a blessing than a curse because it meant our friends could come in reguardless without having to get up and open the door. We just went for food, deciding to stay in the traveloge for the night out of sheer hungriness and restlesness from travel. I was pretty dissapointed with the meal as everyones dish arrived at different times; I was finished by the time some other people got there'd and the chicken wasn't particularly tasty either. It was more chewy-chewy than piri-piri!
So here I am sitting in the room, soon were going for a quiet drink in Rachel, Kate and Isla's room so that should be okay, although they wouldn't serve Jess her drink even though she had her ID. Everyone's so tired so the plan is just to take it easy tonight!
Tomorrow should be more exciting as we're all off to the zoo so it should be better and more interesting to write about! So far my view of the city is that it's very beautiful and scenic but I'm not sure what else it has to offer as were yet to explore it for the most part!

Just got back from having a "quiet" drink, which actually turned out to be not so quiet after all! It's now around quater to 2 in the morning and i'm knackered so i'm just writing this real quick before I go off to sleep. Once we got there we played drinking games which turned out to be a right laugh! First up was ring of fire, which is my run of the mill- standard drinking game. After that one we wanted to try some new games so I googled some which turned out to be the best decision I've ever made. I came across a game called "fuzzy duck" which is when you have to go round in a circle to your leftsaying "fuzzy duck" until someone turns to the person on their right and replies "is he?" to which the person has to say "ducky fuzz" and then it continues around the circle to the right until again someone replies "is he?" and the game continues as before. It wasso hilarious to play as there were some mess up's with responces such as "duzzy f***" which made me spit my drink out. My personal highlight of the night was when Rachel was so determined to get it right after numerous wrong responces and instead came out with "DUZZY FUZZ" which kept me laughing for a good ten minutes.
Everyone bar me and Jess had left the room by 10, so we just had a nice chat after that. It was lovely and I feel closer to them than ever before, overall a good first day in Edinburgh!
