What a day it has been! Wow, I am a very inexperienced traveller, and travelling with kids is something else. The boys were so good, thank god. Things were going well. Dermot got us to the airport in good time and himself and Amy went to make sure all the luggage was alright. Not so. One suitcase, the one with all my stuff, was too big luckily Amy told Dermot to bring an empty backpack just in case. I managed to fit a medium sized bag of stuff into a rucksack with a few things filling over to another bag. Good work Isabel! All was fine, we checked in, all good. Got the kids fed and through security, all good. For some reason I got this feeling to check for my garda card, and couldn't find it. I left Amy with the three kids and all the stuff minus the one bag I took and ran down to get a new boarding pass to go through security again and ran the length of the airport twice talking to four different people looking for it. No luck. Then ran up stairs through security. Got stopped for a random scan, sods law, all well hear Julies cry and ran to Amy who was just getting to front of quey to board plane. Drama! Anywho, all sorted. A nice young guy helped me carry the third bag while I had the boys and Amy tool the buggy, Julie and the rest of the bags down the lift. Couldn't get four seat together in a row but did get a bunch. Plane ride was fine. No real drama. Julie was tired and cranky. Got to airport and there was a man there waiting with our taxi and we were at our apartment twenty minutes later I'd say. I'll write the rest tomorrow. I'm tired and it's been a long day. Night. Ready for day two tomorrow, beach first then pool!
