After my super long flight via Bahrain i finally arrived in Bangkok.
The hotel im staying at is only a 2 min walk to Khason Road which is the main tourist road in the area
I didnt do much on the first night i just relaxed in the bar with a pint and watched the manic Bangkok pass me by.
The next day i started to explore and visited Wat Inthara Eithan temple which has a huge Buddha in it, then onto Wat Thewara Kunchoi temple which like all the temples in Bangkok was elaboratly decorated and pretty impressive.
I then got a boat taxi down the Chao Phraya River into the China town district.
After a look around and some food i got the new BTS sky train to the huge MBK shopping centre.
After the MBK shopping centre i walked back to the hotel via Wat Sraket and the democrat monument stopping at a local restaurant for some food.
In the evening i headed down Khason Road for a few beers and relaxed.
After yesterday which was pretty full on i headed Wat Phra Kaeo (emmerald budha) and the Grand palace.
This is Bangkok equivilant to Buckingham Palace but is 10000 more impressive.
This took most of the morning but after this i went to see the reclining Buddha which is very famous apparently. Its basically a Buddha lieing down.
From here i went across the river to Wat Arun Ratcha Wararam yet another temple but this was amazing.
After seeing 101 temples i decided to get a boat taxi and the sky train and headed to Lumphini park which is in the business ditrict of Bangkok.
I relaxed for a few hours and headed back to the hotel.
In the evening i headed to Khason Road again to watch a Thai band sing English songs in a Irish bar.......
