So Vietnam was interesting. We took a tour on the peddle tuk tuk type things which startedfoff fun. We were taken to a war museum, the river (where they tried to get us to buy a boat trip) and generally just take around the city before dropping us off at our starting location. However, they didn't take us back, infact no where even near.
At the side of a random road we were asked to get out and pay what they originally said was 15000 dong each (3000=£8.60ish) but they decided to stick a few extra 0's on AND with another $70 American dollars on top.
Naturally we said 'go away' and refused to pay so this soon escalated into an argument where no ne of us could understand each other. Their English conveniently got a lot worse too. We gave them slightly a little more and started to walk back.
The short walk they told us, took us about 90mins! Not nice when you're in black jeans. Anyone considering doing a tour, don't! Not worth the hassle and there are better ways to see the city.
Flight to Sydney was awesome, enoungh said.
Made our way to Bondi.
After dumping our bags in our hostel we decided to set an alarm for an hour and a half nap. This was at 1pm Australian time. We woke up 17 hours later! That my friends is jet lag.
Once refreshed we took a stroll of 100 metres to find ourselves on Bondi beach :) wow. We started off the day by having a really nice full English breakfast (homesick already).
The rest of the day consisted of a walk to coogee. It is a coastal walk around 11 kilometres long with some great sights and beaches on the way. Once there we found a spot to relax with a beer and simultaneously get burnt (which we wouldn't realise until later.) We managed to get a bit lost on the way back, so had some fish and chips for energy. Once home we fell asleep about 7pm. Rock n roll.
The next day we went to the best market everrr. Nat bought hat. Good times. Then we went on the beach, with loads of sun tan lotion applications this time.
Then we got picked up by Sean Williams around 4 to go to his house for our first aussie bbq. Was really nice, got to meet his partner Andrew, saw their lovely flat, eat nice food, drink some beer and very strong cocktails. Oh and Ian heard Guy Sebastian for the first time since being in oz, so he was happy. Then we got dropped home and once again being as crazy as we are.. went to sleep.
Today has been filled with more food, sun, beaching and sorting Oz bank accounts.
Loving it here.
