Hi
Nick sorry about your problems hope you will be fit again in a little while such a nuisance when things like that happen. However dont let it spoil your trip pic looks lovely just up my street shopping on the river trying out all the different types of food. Hope Ian is ok I am sure he will be but just a bit apprehensive as mums are. Kuala Lumpa is well worth a visit especially the Batu Caves watch out for the mosquitoes they are quite rampant out there. Anyway enjoy it and have a look at the Cricket pitch and the Railway they are quite impressive. Food good too and cheap!
Regards Ian's Mum.
ps tell Ian will e-mail him

Alright Nick,
Sorry to hear about your illness! Doesn't sound good. I think I know what that chest pain is, though. Have you seen Alien? Basically, you'll be eating dinner one night and the pain will get worse, and then a little alien creature will punch it's way through your ribcage and onto the dining table. It'll create quite a mess and you won't be in any state to continue eating afterwards, so I'd settle the bill before rather than after you eat.
Good luck mate,
Aidan

Hope you feel better soon Nick. Have a good time in Malaysia. Look forward to hearing from you. Take care.

Alrite lads,
Sorry to hear about the situation, hope ur feelin better Avery mate, keep ur chin up and with ur miraculous healing powers ull b bk on top form in no time (Muscular damage?? Only u tho u bloody clown, I dont know how u manage it!!!!). Jus take it easy an get some rest an i'm sure ull b able to make it down to 'nam etc.
Had a bit of a mare las week (this should cheer u up!), went on a study trip wit the course and ended up (sounds all to familiar....) gettin ratted wit a couple of others. All was merry until we got back to the hotel an I thought it would be a good idea to go out a fire door to ring Mel and tell her I was drunk and sexy... the alarms went off (since when have fire doors been alarmed?), all the people in the hotel got up and piled downstairs to be met by a drunken mess clutching a bottle of £3.99 vodka staggering about yelling 'false alarm', 'false alarm'. Needless to say, I was in a bit of trouble the next day, one of my tutors now hates me and the hotel told me to never darken their door again as they had been fendin off complaints all mornin. Cant believe these scrapes I get into, alcohol the cause of (and solution) to all of lifes problems....
Jonno, hope ur cool an avin a good time in Laos. To ease the language barrier and help u on ur ambles around the country i've done some research and found the name of their star player- Visay Phaphouvann (he scored three goals in three games in the prelimanaries of 2002 Tiger Cup). The team recently shipped 20 goals in 2 games againsy Syria but won back some respect by drawing 1-1 against the Phillipines with Nisavong Khouphachansy netting a late equaliser.
Anyways, hope ur both cool (an ur meaty painkillers r workin Aves)

P.S- Cheers for tip on the book Avery. If ur bored, try gettin hold of 'The Conquest of the Middle East' by Robert Fisk, u'll love it (i'm sure the Bangkok branch of Waterstones will be able to help). Its all about why the Middle East is in such a mess and batters the Bush-Blair Mafia. The dude who wrote is a journalist so its all about his tales from the frontline- he had three interviews with Bin Laden and loadsa other cool stuff. Hes also a grad of Lancaster which makes it all the more interestin.
P.P.S- As u can probably tell by the sheer length of this post and the random footy stats i've got a b*****d assignment in for 2mo that is really not happening!
Take care boyz

Nick!
sorry to hear you're not so well, just take it easy and use your inhalers (they're there for a reason)!
hope you guys don't get too lonely without each other - if all else fails just think about Nielsens "I can't live, if living is without you".....
Sorry...couldn't resist!

Just be careful in furture find out about BRAKES.! Keep us posted on things looking forward to seeing photos. Man Utd 3 Reading 2 funny sort of game scorers Henzie Ole Sol & Saha Kitson for Reading.

Hi Ian
again just missed you hope to catch up with you next time you ring was out with the dog. I loved the pics the park looks a bit like the one in Kuala Lumpa and I liked the John Barnes pic, things not too good here with Grandma she is getting worse with her attitude about things have to have a family gathering to sort things out. Elaine and I have been to Liverpool today she will update you on that. Some things will be a bit different when you come home hall & stairs finished new carpet in a couple of weeks. Man Utd Fulham game not so good we looked a bit suspect in defence but managed to sneak a win with goals from Ronaldo & Giggs & McBride for Fulham. Reading Man Utd tonight FA Cup replay will be a tough one
take care. Love Mumx ps Come on you REDS

Wow! Pictures are great (so much so I've downloaded one as my desktop)!
Hope your new malaria tablets are working out better Nick, the other ones sounded a bit nasty.
Not too much to report - went to a bar in Oval at the weekend which was called "South Pacific". I know; not really relevant, but with the drinks in coconuts and flower garlands everywhere I thought of you two living up for real! The only downside was leaving in the cold and rain and realising I was still in South London..........

Ian, thanks for looking after him...it was ever thus!
Nick, good to talk to you the other day, also good to know you have bought some earphones too ...are they the ones you are going to send back to replace mine !!?? ... hope the new malaria pills work a bit better and that you are back to your old self ..I guess those pills had bad side effects, including memory loss, inability to avoid low ceilings, loss of time awareness and attraction to sharks. Seriously, glad you are on the mend.
All ok here, apart form the mighty Leeds losing again 1 -0 to Wolves ...and a great punch up in the Chelski/Arsenal game ..you should watch out for Wayne Briidge going down after the slightst tap fom an ( unpronouncable name) Aresenal player ..what a softie.. the the Arsenal guy dives over him ...pathetic!
Hope Laos is good, don't know much about it but I guess you two will liven it up.
Have a great time ...keep the updates coming
Dad
