So I have family in Arecibo and in Isabela. This trip I stayed in Isabela which is at the Northwest side of the island. I guess people would say this was the country. So if you are looking for information on San Juan or other big cities, I can't help you. All I know is that if you fly into the airport at San Juan, it will take you 2-3 hours to get to the Northwest side of the island, depending on traffic. Going to Puerto Rico you should see El Morro (historical site) and El Yunce (caves) and Bio Bay (a night excursion to see the water light up). Don't go anywhere alone at night, just like anywhere else. The beaches have the clearest water and everyone knows english, but the roads are small so be careful driving.
