Day 3 going strong:
Today I was awaken by the sound of a Clanky old Diesel engine firing up in a nearby construction site. It was a little quieter than my brother bobs truck, so I was familiar with it and knew it would quieten down soon, unlike my brother bobs truck.
Anyway off we go for another days adventure with tickets to the famed sagrada familia. We we boarded a bus to the and arrived 10 minutes later . The sagrada familia is a late 1800’s neo gothic structure initially started by famed architect antoni gaudi. Since his death in 1926 (hit and killed by a tram) the structure has been worked on continuously with expectations to be completed 2026 the 100 year anniversary of his death. It is an amazing structure and needs to be viewed and appreciated by all. (Deep huh).
Now being an artisan in my own right I appreciate a persons creativity. As you know famed St adolphe artisan haroldo del la schlampino works in the nouvo naturalio barnyardio tableau format. Just gotta get smoked by a tram and I will be appreciated
I digress. We finish our tour and grab a street side table for a little bite to eat and a cocktail. Followed by a four km walk back to our suite .
Once arriving we regroup and decide to head out into the countryside to appreciate “mont serrat monestary ” which is hour and a half away.
Well two trains and a cable car later we arrive at the top of the mountain. Here kays a community with amazing walking trails and church with musicians playing inside. Kerry and I sat and just took it in while Dominique and sue decided to cut the 200 person line by going in the exit side of a area where you line up to kiss a statue of the virgin marry and give her a rub. They were busted by the security guy just before they statute.
By the wax those sneaky monks must have been hiding out cause not one of them was seen.
We walked some trails then headed back down via the cable car and train 1. Eexcept we missed our train transfer spot. So we got off next station to seek direction and were told to get back on next train and it will get us to Barcelona. We did that and after arriving we found ourselves in a different section of Barcelona that we wanted to See but was too far away.
This area was the 100,000 seat Barcelona arena where Barcelona FC plays. It was huge. As well we saw the “magical fountain “ (sprays water in air in different configurations. Ah very nice
Now a quick bus ride which we couldn’t figure how to pay but got on anyways and we arrived home.
While the ladies grabbed dome appies at the supermarket we had a couple of beers.
Salad, pizza , ice cream and chips got some eats in us and to bed we went for our early morning train ride to Malaga.
What are we doing in Malaga you ask? I have no idea but it’ll be fun .
See ya tomorrow
