Harry started the day by waking up at 5:00 and staying in bed until 5:30 and then got back on the road while I slept peacefully for a few more hours. He then woke me up when we had arrived at Nasa, after paying $10.00 for parking, we made our way to the entrance to find out that the tour fees were $50.00-$100.00 each depending on how much you wanted to see. For me it was a brainless decision, I was heading back to the camper (I have better ways of spending that kind of money), and even Harry opted out of the tour. Since he had seen the space shuttle in Washington, he had no desire to spend that kind of money to see more of it, so we took the parking fees as a loss and continued on our way.
We then arrived at Vero Beach an hour and a half later. Here, we are staying at the Driftwood Inn Resort, we had to wait a couple of hours to check in so we made our way to the beach which was only a few steps away. We slipped our sandals off and went for a nice walk on the beach, then stepped into a few shops to browse. This resort is mainly made of driftwood and has now become an official historic site of Florida, it's very rustic and has a lot of history, very lovely. We then had a quiet dinner in and a relaxing evening. More adventures await us tomorrow. The weather here today was only about 15 celcius, cooler than normal, but the next few days should warm up.
The 2 biggest obstacles during this trip have been trying to find internet and showers, our girls occasionally text us with "hey, are you guys still alive?" This evening, I've uploaded more photos as well as the video of the dolphins, so do take a look at them. We are definitely enjoying ourselves on this adventure but do miss family, friends, and our home, so please continue to leave us messages, we enjoy them very much.
