OK so arrive into Atlanta at 6.20am and manage to get through customs relatively easily but somehow they make you go through security after you get off a plane as well including taking off shoes etc... But hey I get out and then find out at the airline desk that my flight to London is delayed by an hour and a half (sheet more time in America - lets find a PS3!!!) Ok so get onto their public transport to downtown. I get to downtown and get on their tourist buses which are shocking as there are no guides!!!! Dumb yanks - how the fcuk can you have a tourist bus with no guide!!! So we drive past some skyscrapers a massive Coca Cola and CNN building and a nice looking park. After getting off the buses I go to get some breakfast for which the typical southern brekkie is grits so I decide to try grits with some scrambled eggs and sausage. Grits are similar to porridge but made with a different cereal. It's served very hot and is quite stodgy when it cold, people have it with cheese and bacon or ham or just with lots of buter and salt and pepper which is how I had it. I can understand why they may have ate this sheet when they was poor but today!!!! I wish I'd have had the pancakes..
Atlanta is very different to New York and the West Coast. The accents are completely different and this place is proper coloured I saw 1 white person and no hispanic persons whatsoever in 14 hours!! I found myself an Irish bar to have lunch and hopefully watch the footie but no joy so I'll just have to do with the junk food and (watered down) beer.
(If anyone doesn't know about Atlanta it's famous for Coca Cola, 1996 Olympics and Martin Luther King)
OK well this really is the end of my trip and now can't wait to get home to have a proper curry and a full fry up.
But sheet I have 80 kids from a high school in California on my plane coming over to Europe for 10 days during spring break - I won't tell them that it's cold at home in their fcuking flip flops and 3/4's.......some of them might be beautiful but they ain't half dumb.
OK well that's the end of my blog for this trip
ciao ciao mi amigos until next time.
