Bathing in public bathhouses in Hungary is a national past time. The bathing complexes are massive. We went to the Szechenyi Baths which had three out door pools (two of which are heated to over 30 degrees) and about 15 indoor pools plus saunas etc. it was essentially a spa complex. Kristen and I spent hours wandering around and periodically plunging in and out of different pools. We then tried out a Hungarian massage (as its cheaper than in Western Europe). I had a knot in my shoulder from hauling my luggage so was hoping it would be worked out. After getting beaten up for 20 minutes by a small Hungarian woman I was questioung my sanity. Although, a few days later it feels okay.
Later we joined up with the majority of other people on our tour for dinner-fried gnocci and duckbreast (which I eventually got-they stuffed up the order first time round), Kristen had the toughest steak in the world, it almost broke her knife.
We then stumbled across a vintage store op shop which provided an array of hilarious items. I used the last of my florans on a coin purse (actually really useful as I have so many different currencies right now most of it coin which I cant exchange-yen, kuna, dinar, mark, crown etc).
