Blog time!
This week we've all been to the beach! Been in the sea, made sand castles and generally just lounged about in the sun. And guess what, Holly and Charley got tans! Holly, obviously, looks like an asian. Charley looks a bit brown, a bit, but slightly more pink. And I have, a pink face. But I guess thats better than just being so pale that I look blue.
Its been a pretty good week, a bit boring, but still- we actually managed to make some friends from our hostel! Eddy, Katie, Lucy, and Jason (A 31 year old Canadian that really, really, really reminds of of Kev, maybe they're all raised a bit weird or something.) The hostel we've been staying at, is predominately Irish. Literally, apart from our dorm, (which now has an Irish man called 'Paddy') I think everyone is Irish. I'm all for friendship with your fellow man and stuff, but seriously, they are a state. They eat everyones food, we had a box of cereal, and we only got 3 and a bit bowls out of it, clearly someone was peckish. Also, all of them just drink, and drink, and drink, all day. And then, when we wake up, there's sick on the floor, pee on the seats, and small curly hairs littered around the cubicles. But I guess they are friendly, in a bizarre twisted drunken way.
On one of our many excursions to the beach, a peculiar thing happened, in the distance we saw a stumbling, topless man, which on further inspection identified him as one of the many Irish staying at our hostel. He approached the sea, took all his things out of his pockets and placed it next to some man, ordering him to look after his stuff. He then made he was to the sea, with his jeans on. With. His. Jeans. On. After being in the sea for about 2 minutes, he then crawled back to the shore and slowly, made his way off the beach, with everyone staring at him. What a loser. He also appeared at the beach like the next day, passed out on the beach with wet jeans on, and sun-cream writing on his chest, complete conked out. What a waster.
We've actually got some of our next days planned, we're on our way to the Blue Mountains tomorrow morning, we'll probably be hiking, abseiling, canyoning, adventuring, sight-seeing, y'know, that kinda thing for a couple of days. After that, and the resulting plethora of pictures from there, we'll be heading back to Wake Up! (wake up, wake up, wake up) the first hostel we stayed in, back in Central Sydney, where we will be climbing the Sydney Harbour bridge(!), possibly seeing something at the Opera house, and having a bit of a wine-taste in Hunter Valley, (Charley will be sloshed. Whereas Me and Holly will only drink it if its free. I think it'll be a bit rank though!)
Also! One more thing we've discovered since being out here, (Holly didn't find this interesting) U.K. Plugs, most of them only have 2 metal prong bits, and 1 plastic one, meaning that you only need the two prongs. We really do learn something everyday.
Anyway, look forward to loads of pictures from the next few places we've been!
