Hello everyone, sorry yet again for not getting our arses in gear to write our blog! Im sure you were all getting worried that wed been marooned on a thai island or eaten by a shark, fortunately neither is true and weve made it to australia. We had an amazing time in Thailand but after spending a few too many days in grubby Bangkok during the water and paint throwing festival (very messy and impractical) we were glad to arrive in Cairns. A whole day of travelling (and a busines class upgrade!) got us there and we ended up spending 6 days there. Our first day we jumped 14 thousand foot out of a plane (so very extreme sports-y we are) so we used that as an excuse to chillax for a good few days.

 Weve spent the last few days on magnetic island, trying to get used to the dorm and communal shower/toilet idea. We also had our first ozzie animal experience yesterday. We got to wrestle crocodiles (i say wrestle, they were babies and they had their mouths taped up), cuddle lizards and snakes and make friends with a koala, which was the cutest thing ever, though aparantly very dangerous believe it or not. Even had a bit of a brush with some fuit bats, a golden orb spider and a stick insect. Very exciting stuff!

 From now were heading further south, doing a bit of a sailing trip and exploring fraser island so weve got a lot to look forward to. Still adjusting to cooking for ourselves, pot noodle and a can of sweetcorn is as balanced as our diet is getting.
