Hello alll .... finally fingers crossed this blog will finally work. Ive been trying for two weeks to get it to work but ive always had slow internet connections. Lots to catch you all up on but Ill try to be brief beacuse I cant fit in everything in the time slot on tin ternet. Ill just update you on the past few days as two weeks is far to much to explain...

Currently were back in smelly Delhi for a few days before flying out to Sri Lanka. Weve just come from the city known as amaritsar. Fantastic golden temple but not alot moregoing for it. We visted thegolden temple twice once at night and once during the day. Its an amazing place, so many people and it was fasincating to see how religion means so much to people. After every procession (twice daily) people are sent to clean the whole of the temple to keep it in good condition. Another thing that was interesting is that there are prophets which sit in this room open to public veiwing reading the holy book constantly until they get tired, and this can go on for days!

Follwing amiritsar we took the overnight trai n back to delhi which wasnt as bad as it sounds as there were proper beds, even if the sheets they gave out were slightly infested! Yuck. So we got into delhi at about 8 this morning and chilled in a cafe and red the newspaper to discover that at the golden temple yesterday (when wwe went) one person was stabbed and one person drowned in the water, as you can imagine we were glad not to have been there for that!

Ive spent the afternoon checking into out hotel and exploring the bazzars andf buying some leather sandals for about 3 squid. Not bad ey. Still getting used to the stares from people again though. Its strange how the rural areas differ from the cities but people star at you more in delhi than anywhere else weve been! I think me and ben have been asked abut 10 times already for our photo today. We just put it down to the conclusion that were drop dead gorgeous.
