Hey All,

Well we have now been living in Calgary for 4 months, christmas has been and gone and it was a white christmas!!

for the last 4 months we have been settling in getting used to all the differences in canadian life and working hard. Ben started work with CPS on October 22nd and is now officially half way through training.

A very Hard course but extreemly well presented and overall a very professional policing organisation. The UK could learn a lot.. the troops are actually looked after over here not just numbers in the UK.

getting used to Guns was a huge step but the training is top notch the only thing is having to explain the meaning of some english terms to the canadians.

Teresa is working part time for a smnall hotel in Okotoks on the reception desk.

Elana has settled in very well indeed has made loads of friends at school, is doing well and now plays ice hockey for a Pee Wee girls team in Okotoks. in the small amount of time she has been playing her skating is now very very good!

Erin is doing well, she did not really know what the big move was all about so was the easiest to settle in over here. she loves the snow and the trips to the zoo and hockey matches, it will not be long before we will have to buy her skates too!!

Calgary is an amazing city, very clean and friendly and also very modern with lots of cool sculptures and architecture and loads of parks! which Erin Loves!

Our house in Okotoks is fantastic, we would never ever be able to afford a house like we now own in the UK, we are in the process of converting the basement so the house will be 3000 square feet in size 5 bedrooms 3 living rooms, 3 and a half bathrooms and an office, utility room and kitchen.

People told us things about Canada when we were inthe process of moving and most of it was untrue, we have found out things sometimes the hard way but if anyone is considering the move to Canada i honestly beleive they are making the right choice, the quality of life is 200 % better over here but speak to us first as we can give loads of advise and we can speak from experience over all issues.
