Expanding My Horizons
What a trip! The flight in was so beautful. The land and the people all look so fresh. It was scary at first but the group I'm with is so nice and full of energy. Each one reminds me of someone back home. After we got into the DR we took a two hour bus ride, which was the scariest thing in the whole world. The diving here can't even be compared to New York drivers. Lets just say that there is no speed limits and half the time a car is heading right at you. Also the roads have huge holes every where. About half way i got sick and had to jump off of the bus. That's probably the one thing that will be the hardest to get use to. But the view of the culture was so bright and colorful so eventhough I wasn't feeling well it was a great time. Finally we arrived at the Habital for Humanity living community and the ciew is the best in twon. We are on top of a hill looking down over the town and the ocean. One of these mornings I'm going to get up and watch the sunrise. The room we're staying in is one open room with a lot of bugs. Everything is open so the air can move but the hear and weather reminds me of Nebraska wather so it's all good. Well the adventure has began and. I can't wait tell we are able to explore more of the culture. I love you all and I hope you're having a great summer. Love Always Hailey
