Day 25 Bryon Bay to Surfers Paradise

We say goodbye Rachael, Genene and Simon and to our beloved Bryon Bay and head to Surfers Paradise. As the bus drives into the city I realise Surfers Paradise is the complete opposite of everything I loved about Bryon Bay and in fact is not paradise at all. This place is not my cup of tea. Surfers Paradise is the commercial heart of the Gold Coast. Years ago high rise apartments were built along the beach and then higher flats were built behind them so they could also have a view of the beach and then higher flats were built behind them so they could have a view of the beach so on so on. As a result Surfers Paradise turned into a concrete city which isn't ascetically pleasing.
