Hey All- Grab all of your leiderhosen, and your beer Stine's; welcome to Oktoberfest! I arrived yesterday in Munich after a 6 hour train right on a high speed train. I swear if they had checked my ticket any more times I would have screamed (just kidding- I got checked about 8 different times- it got kind of annoying). I made it to my hostel which is one block from Oktoberfest. The way I would describe the festival to you is a giant fair with bigger and scary rides and lots of beer (they are huge about 1 liter) and super expensive. I have a video that I am going to post, soon. It was fun I actually got to go into one of the beer tents. Which you really need a reservations, which will run you about 30 euros. But some how I got in. There are soo many men at the fair and in the tents, I would say its about 80% men and 20% women. I cant believe all the women parading around in their little German costumes. It was raining and freezing yesterday. Today is lovely and sunny. I'm happy about that. I will keep you guys updated. Right now I am debating about either going to Salzberg or Switzerland.
