The people we met at Craters of the Moon that were camping across from us and showed us the moon and planets, Laurie and Doug, were also going to the Sawtooths a day ahead of us and said they would save us a campsite when they got there. So we woke up, ate breakfast and then packed up. We headed north to the Sawtooth Mountains.
We stopped Bellevue to get gas and propane. Then we stopped in Hailey and bought some groceries. They lady working in the store was from Ohio and told us how much better Idaho is to live in compared to Ohio. The area seemed really nice and probably a little expensive.
We arrived in the Sawtooths and found a campsite at Stanley Lake. Laurie and Doug told us about the campground and were camping across from us. We camped on site #19 across from the lake hoping that tomorrow we could move closer to the lake. We sat up camp and then rode our bikes around and down by the lake to the boardwalk that leads to nowhere because the earthquake in March sunk the trail.
Then we went to the RV park and bought showers, a t-shirt and earrings. The showers felt great. I forgot to wear or bring earrings and was afraid that I wouldn't be able to wear earrings if I waited a month to put them in again.
For dinner we drove into Stanley and ate at Mountain Village. They were really busy but the food was good and we were hungry. On the way back, I dried my hair in the car using the car heater. The boys rolled down their windows so they wouldn't get hot.
We got back late and went to bed.
