We got up and ate breakfast and noticed that the rain brought snow on the mountains, the smoke had cleared from the wildfires and the lake had fog. It was a very nice morning. We hung out at the campsite until lunch and had chili for lunch at the campsite.
After lunch we drove to Redfish Lake to see the lake, lodge and campgrounds. It was a very busy place. Then we drove to Yankee Fork Gold Dredge. We were unable to take a tour because it was closed for the season. But the boys liked looking around and reading the signs describing it.
We then changed our clothes at a closed campground so we could stop at Sunbeam natural hot springs in the Salmon River. It was really hot and right off the road. The boys had fun trying to figure out how to build an area with rocks to make a good mix of the hot springs water and cold river water. Seth tried to catch little fish with his bare hands to bring home with him. The air temperature was in the 50a that day so when we got out we were cold. We walked fast to the car and then drove to the Stanley RV Park to take warm showers.
I dried my hair in the car again on the way back to the campsite. Once we got back we made a campfire to stay warm and to roast our hot dogs. We had dinner lakeside. Then the camp host made us aware that our campsite was renumbered so now we were camping at site #15.
When getting ready for bed, we knew it was going to be a cold night so we dressed in layers and bundled up.
