Good morning Turkey... Another superb day in paradise. Wow this weather is totally fabulous... We awake at 7 am as we have to have breaky at 8 am & be off the ship at 9 am for our tour. It's a 5& 1/2 hr tour today... Not sure what to expect, we get on our air conditioned coach meet our guide it's a man in his mid 50,s he is very experienced he knows everything, firstly we go to the Virgin Mary's House ( Jesus mother ) & we fill
Our clay pots with the holly water, what an experience & a very spiritual moment for us all.. Next stop the ancient ruins of Ephesus . OMG it's massive we have to walk for 4 Kms which should take us 1&1/2 hours, it's hot again so we all have our water bottles... We walk on gravel & marvel
Paths it's amazing , gobsmacking inspiring.....our family is trully blessed to be standing in this part of the world. A history lesson in itself ..totally awesome..... Then it's back on the bus to a 5 star resort for our buffet lunch, excellent ... Now that we are recharged its back on the bus to go to the carpet & jewellery shops back in the main part of town where the ship docks..... Watching these beautiful hand made rugs is outstanding , we would have loved to bring one home but they wouldn't have matched our decor in the house......then it was off to the shops.... OMG IT'S JUST LIKE THAILAND, same s*** different shop .... But very good s***..... The jewellery is magnificent , absolutely stunning , the boys went back to the ship whilst Jeni & I shopped till we dropped.... We bought some stunning additions to our collections.......so much fun indeed . Then it was back mthrough all the airport scanners at customs once in the turkey port then on board the ship.... It becomes tiresome but it needs to be done. We get back on board at 4.45 pm as everyone had to be on by 5.30pm & the ship waits for no one as the captain gets fined if he's late sailing..... Yesterday & the day before 4 people were left on shore... OMG isn't that terrible.......we all meet at the pool deck on level 9 , it's a great feeling to be living this wonderful cruising life with wonderful friends & new friends that we meet on board......we order our margaritas & sit by the pool until we are all informed that someone did a number 2 in it.. Not happy jan....we have never seen so people clear an area so fast....
Now we are all in the piano bar having our champagne & beers whilst we are running 35 mins late for dinner, we are never on time but it helps our waiter Salmen as everyone for the first sitting is lined up for 6pm....
