20/08/11 Day 11. Krakow- Budapest.
We landed in an area called district 9. I'm drunk while i'm writing this so it may be rubbish. We got to budapest on the day of the red bull air race, so we decided to head straight for the town/river. As we left the metro we saw a plane doing stunts so we were excited, we thought we might be in luck and catch the red bull rave. As we got to the bridges the planes stopped.unluckily we must have missed it by an hour or so. gutted, we were. After a walk over the bridge into buda of the pest we looked across onto Pest and saw the parliament buildings. We took the metro back to the site for food and shower and to drink some booze from alkohole in Poland. We headed to club gorgode. Brilliant club that had three bands on live free of charge. After the first band had finished we saw a great firework show because of an hungarian holiday we tripped across. We headed into the club and had drinks for 460 forints, about £1.30 :) we watched a few bands and had a bit of a dance and headed back. While in the club i harrassed a barman into teaching me how to ask for a beer in hungairan, i learned bit forgot in the meantime. Afterwards after splilling drink on a few birds i learned how to say sorry but now ive forgot ?! We managed to save money by not buying a ticket for the metro and using it for a taxi ride home. The 5 man taxi meant pile people on until we're in and we arrived, safely, just!
Additions while sober-ish. At 4.30 we saw a sign telling the temperature, it said 34 degrees which must mean that at 1-2 o'clock it would have been over the 35 Mark. It was very warm and a gorgeous day. Warmest day so far! Another day of Budapest left :)
