For the past two days we have been making our way home. On Thursday we drove 483 miles from Double Nickel Campground in Waco, NB to Hickory Hollow Campground in Utica, IL The campground is well maintained and right off the highway. We spent the night at Walmart near Route 26 and not far from our destination. Scott's Bluff National Monument. After getting ready we arrived at the monument about 10AM. We checked in at the Visitor Center and were told since our RV was not allowed on the road to the top we were welcome to hike up or ride the shuttle. We opted to ride the shuttle. We left Yellowstone National park today, but not before running into another bison jam. We got around this one once there were no cars on the incoming lane. We drove to Cody, returned the car rental and drove to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. The food was edible but bland so we were disappointed. Our next destination was Scott's Bluff in Nebraska. On Sunday we took a break. We have been driving a lot around since this is a big park and also getting to Grand Tetons from here it's a long way. We slept in - Gil more than me.
