Our goal today is to drive 233 miles to Lake Powell near Page, AZ. On the way is Four Corners. This is the site on Navajo land where the state lines of Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico meet and of course we had to stop. The entrance to the site is actually in the New Mexico side. Today we drove the rest of the way from La Junta, CO to Mesa Verde National Park - 348 miles. The drive today on Route 160 was just spectacular. For one I am glad we did not drive to Walsenburg the evening before. I thought the Rockies ascend would start after that point but not so, the road from La Junta to Walsenburg begins the upward climb and although not terrible the curves also begin.
