Hello
Well not much has changed. I still stick with my orginal thoughts on Peru - its cross between New York and Basra. A Mcdonalds on every corner of the street yet the locals look at you as if you are scum and are part of some massive occupation!
We have now moved from hostal to hotel (like a 2* hostal really), its got cable tv so that is good. My favourite channel is the warner channel. they play all the good programmes like ER, Smallville, Cold Case, Justice, Men in trees etc etc etc etc... They are really into crime and hospitals - not a good thing really. My dad would love american tv. There is a programme called Justice that is really up his street and there are also constant showings of NCIS.
Its still very scary here! I am not enjoying it and will be very glad to leave. But one door closes and another opens - Cuzco may be safe but I have to reach there via plane - I am not good at flying here! - also Cuzco is 3500 metres in the air. That means I'll be having a big dose of altitude sickness. I have been recommened to take Coca leaves and will most likely resort to this however it is a bit disturbing. I will not go into facts about Coca leaves as my mum reads this blog.
Anyway, i'll be glad when I say goodbye to Lima, I'll try to take some pictures if I can manage to keep hold of my camera!
Bye for now, update on what Cuzco is like soon!!!!!
