Food was extraordinary last night - think we may have gone a little 'over the budget' - what the heck, it was the first night!
An adorable guy charged our phones for us whilst we were dining on the great food. Only electrical converter we didnt have was for Singapore of course! The sweetheart gave it to us and told us we could keep it - we won't of course!
Just eaten an amazing breakfast - I realise at this stage of our travels we would not be considered very experienced however we have never see such an array of food at breakfast. It will take a bit of beating.
We are now seated by the pool in the rain, so cool! Contemplating what to see today. Certainly will not be having lunch!!
Stuck to our plan - no lunch, not even hungry. Spent the day in the shopping centres (raining cats and dogs). No bargains, nothing seems cheap to us (only food). Saw my camera at a bargain basement price $100 more than I paid for it.
Beer reasonable, wine very expensive. Picked up a bottle of Sauv Blanc for $26 ($8 at home) to have in room tonight with food we brought back. Yum.
I must say Singapore feels very safe and is exceptionally clean. ($300 fine for littering, and of course they still have the death penalty!) NO graffiti.
Roger's thoughts on the day.....
The breakfast here has to be seen to be believed.....unbelieveable! Definately the best breakfast I have ever has or seen.
They serve High Tea in a restaurant here at the hotel...$248 per head, however they do throw in a glass of wine!
