An easy 2 nights here. On the yellow river. Great camp - after we had picked up 4 garbage bags of rubbish. It really is amazing. It is hard to see how they can picnic with the kids in so much rubbish. We have all learnt the basics of tent erection etc. The locals are intrigued with us. They do not have the same sense of space and think nothing of driving through the camp in cars and on bikes. Even between the fire and the tables! We built a fire to make a stew. Just when we had plenty of coals the family who had parked about 20m away came over armed with corn on sticks, spread the coals out to their liking and cooked the corn! Next a photographer brought his bridal group for their western photos. We obviously had used his spot since he drove onto the middle of the camp. Took photos all in amongst the rubbish, changed the bridal group into various other costumes and of course, dropped rubbish everywhere.

jan You look pretty settled there, Mum. I'd like to see one of the locals try to steal that spot! X
