Hello everyone from Cambodia!!! Sorry it's been a while since we updated this site - it's not from want of trying!!! We've been unable to find a computer that lets us upload our photos onto the internet and we were waiting until we could. Cambodia has been an unexpected surprise. We had heard so many negative things from other travellers in Thailand that we had begun to think of it as something we had 'to get through' rather than a place to enjoy. We - and they - were wrong..Cambodia is a wonderful, interesting country full of kind people. We have spent one week in Siem Reap and Battambang, visiting the inspiring World Heritage sites at Angkor and then we went to Phenom Phen and visited the infamous Khmer Rouge prison S-21 - an unforgettable and harrowing place. Now we are on the South Coast at the sea-side resort area of Sihanouk Ville. So it's back to beach, palm trees and sun-bathing for a few days - plus a couple of trips to the islands for snorkelling and trekking. We've got one more week left here and then it's off to Vietnam on 24th. Thanks for all your messages on the Message Board!!! Take care, Love Helenand Akixx
