I get picked up from my half built hostel by yet another new tour group. I'm pleased to see it's a full bus - yay party times! Everyones really nice and friendly which is reassuring as I'm with these people for about 3 days non stop, plus they witll be my companions on the white water rafting trip- which I'm slightly nervous about...
We arrive at our accomodation in Fort Coulonge which is - without a doubt one of the most beautiful locations/ best hostel I've stayed in. Theres a Huuuuuuge outside patio over looking the lake (great for sunset I hear although we were unlucky with the sky this time) We also live in little cabin things with their own kitchen etc- although we had delicious meals included (all you can eat too- dangerous!)
The next day we're up at a ridiculous hour for our day long rafting trip....The whole day is so much fun- but quite scary- you hear al sorts of things about farting, broken ankles, getting stuck in rocks...Luckly our day was accident free. We had a great instructor too, he immediately rid me of my fear of falling in by placing me in the very front of the boat- we then headed straight for a rapid and guess what? We ended up drenched...I've got some lovely action shots to show off if anyone wants a good laugh at me.......As the day went on the rapids grew more and more ferocious, as did my fear, but hey! the adrenaline added to the excitement! The last rapid of the day was called Collesseum. To be continued.......
