Sydney and i just landed and we decide to go meet our friends before we did anything. we went to the main market and there we saw our good freind Mia. it was her birthday so we went to get her a whole bunch of stuff at the market. we spent the day in the Old Town, the oldest landmark in Poland. it was really cool beacuse if you looked close enough to the buildings you could see the bullets from World War 2! in the Old Town we went to the Royal Castlel. we read that it was once the King of Poland`s, Sigmund the 3rd`s. during World War 2 the Germans destroyed it but today the Poles rebuilt it. we learned a lot about the history of Poland. we also saw some really cool architecture. in the Old Town there were very bright colored buildings like, pinks and blues. we ate everywhere. there were so many cafes and resteraunts. when we were done eating we went to St. John`s Cathedral, one of the oldest churches in Poland. it`s known for it`s neo-Gothic paintings and architecture. when we left the Old Town our last sight was the statue of Syrena, the mermaid, who is a symbol for Poland`s capial, Warsaw. we all stayed at the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria. in a few days i will leave for Switzerland, but my first day in Warsaw was amazing!
