Today was the beginning of our adventure activities, and what a way to start, ziplining the longest zipline in North America (2200ft) We got up to around 80 km on that line and the view over the river was fantastic. On the last line (there were 5 in all) we were taught how to zip upside down. It was great fun but very cold (wind chill). After a quick change of clothes (actually, after adding more layers) we headed off for our second activity, riding the snowmobiles. After 10 min of what to do and what not to do we were off. They are really heavy, and quite difficult to steer, you actually need to shift your whole body like a Moto GP rider but it was heaps of fun and they go really fast. We were lucky as we were the only two booked for our tour which ment we were moving along the tour route quite quickly so we got to do a couple of extra tracks. One of the additional tracks we took was a new one for our guide so it added to the fun knowing our guided didn't even know what was over the next hill. The best part however was when we rode down the steepest hill and if you didn't turn you would have ridden straight over the edge of the mountain, here I actually used the break for the first time. We rode past the Olympic sliding facility which looks fantastic and walked threw knee deep snow to take photos. For dinner we went to the Longhorn which is the place to go at whistler particularly for Australians. I think everyone who works there is from Oz actually nearly everyone here seems to be Aussie. After dinner we walked the Village Stroll again (it's so beautiful with the snow and the lights that I could walk it every night and still be in awe) and did some shopping. Tomorrow we hit the mountain for some snowboarding. If there is no blog tomorrow I injured something!!!
