Today is our last lazy day. We're somewhere near Cuba. We woke up so late, it was actually time for lunch. I need to leave those Long Islands alone. We finally sailed into temperatures we were all seeking. And we knew it would only get better. We sat in the Windjammer, ate lunch and people watched. It's quite amusing. I really, really, really love the ship's coffee. I could drink it allday. After lunch, Hope and I wondered around the ship and into the casino.
I like the machine that pushes the quarters over the edge after you drop a few quarters in. I was fine until a little lady wanted to know how to play the game and then became my cheerleader everytime quarters fell into the payout bin, she actually cheered and was way too excited. After I'd given RCL $20, I headed further in to find Hope. She was playing a slot machine and said, "I like this machine because it plays jazz." Heck, I thought she was going to say, "I like this machine because it pays."
After that it was almost time for the "Battle of the Sexes Game" up in the Scooner Bar. We strolled through the Esplanade window shopping. I guess I'd gotten on Hopes last nerve, because I could never tell her what time it was, so she purchased a watch. I thought it quite funny, when she said, "Debbie, I just need to know what time it is." Heck I didn't even know what day it was. So after sitting, Hope ordered a Mojito and then the game host announces, that we had to split up. Women on one side of the bar and men on the other. I think, no I know, I got this woman riled up sitting next to me. She started talking about how expensive soda was on the ship. A few minutes after I told her that I packed a 12 pack of Coke in my luggage, she actually said, "Now I'm pissed. They told us we couldn't bring pop on the ship." I said, "no, I actually think it's just liquor," and went on to explain to her how I packed my Long Island Iced Tea mix.
The games were really fun. We had a good time there. I wish I'd taken Hope's picture during her initial sip of the Mojito. Would have been a great shot. She cringed. She said it was really strong.
After that we had to make our way back to our cabin to get dressed to eat again. Tonight was formal and took a bit more preparation. Dinner was in "The Grande," which is formal, I don't think a lot of the folks know what "formal" means, but they're on vacation too, soooooooo.
Dinner was really nice, we hadn't made it to a dining room the previous 2 days on the ship, so tonight we ate with our group. Everyone looked really sharp. Sherri wore her sari from India. That was a great idea and I told her that I may do that on the next cruise. She really looked beautiful in it.
After dinner we all headed over for our group photo. Trying to get everyone together was a task. We finally got it together and had several shots taken. Hope wanted to hang out, but I was ready to retire to my cabin. I really love the serenity of the ocean at night. Sitting on the balcony and just daydreaming or nightdreaming. Besides we had to get up and out tomorrow. Our 1st day on land.
