momt greetings from the "tropics of Minnesota"!!! I am catching up on THREE days of blogs - how did I miss so many??? Your trip continues to sound wonderful & we are very jealous of the temperatures over there. Can't wait to see all of your pictures. The blue-green glacial waters sound like Alaska, but I think the areas you're in are much more populated than what we saw. We are spending a very quiet 4th of July - went outside to water the flowers & hurried back in to cool off again. This is NOT fun!! Karen, Mike & the kids are at the annual family picnic at the farm - wonder how long they'll last?! So glad you got to meet Andy & Carol - who would think?! They are really nice people. Will call Ray & let him know you ran into each other! Will be interested to hear about Oslo. Glad you're enjoying your trip.
Fran I am amazed as I look at the map that comes with your blog. According to it you are in Roswell NM. Don't know how that happens. Crazy. OH that relaxing time is just so wonderful. I think you need to plan two of these trips a year. Wouldn't that be delightful. Travel is just the best. Love your messages and so looking forward to seeing you on Sat. It might be 86 degrees on Sat. Currently, it is not as hot as China but close. It really isn't as hot as China was.
ak Heat date 352.564, another HOT day. As i go outside to water the flowers, there is a iine at the bird bath of not only birds but squirrels, rabbits, chipmonks, spiders, ants etc. all tyring to push their way to the front of the line. Will they attack me as I get closer with the hose? Hmmm...should I fill the bird bath first or last? The pleading wild eyes of the animals win out and fearing for my life, the bird bath is filled first. The wildlife is happy:) Oh to be on a cruise, sitting on deck with a good book and the cool breeze of the ocean? rustling through my hair. I can almost feel it as I stand in front of the air conditioner. Sounds like you are having a great time... love the history. Enjoy your last days!

Fran I was surprised by your blog today. I didn't realize Norway had so many connections to WW11. That is so interesting. Loved the description of the architecture. Everything you have written sounds like Northern MN. Enjoy the rain and cool because this has been two weeks of China like weather here. My windows in the house are all steamy and it is only 5:30 in the morning. I haven't mowed since before you left because it is just never cool enough to do so. Neither have my neighbors so I know it just isn't me not liking this weather. I am going to the St Anthony Park parade today and then back home. I'll work on the Rembrandt tour today. Miss you guys. I hope you have had a wonderful time even though some on the tour choose to not enjoy the wonders of travel. I wonder if the ice thing is a German thing. I remember Mrs. Megarry being vocal about "no ice" in her drink. Don't know what that is about. Well hope you have a lovely day. I am so looking forward to Sat.
Bob Thanks you two for taking us along on your journeys. Your encounters with great art, fantastic geography and intriguing cultures gave us thrills - love those Hanseatic boys.
re: Oslo, Norwaymomt It sounds like you had a wonderful day! I am anxious to see all your pics & will bring you a cake with a saw in it if they put you in jail for your "illegal" ones! Your blog is so well done - it stimulates an interest in things I've never heard of! Enjoy your day at sea. We look forward to your return.
re: Oslo, NorwayFran What a glorious full day you had. Do you have a favorite city in Norway? Enjoy the 73 degrees it is H O T here. Energy zapping H O T. Looking forward to your return and hearing all the details.

re: At Sea 2, NorwayKaren I am equally behind on the blog, but then I get to enjoy a few at a time. Two thing, first thing is LaBossiere's are huge goat cheese fans!!!! Yum and second I love the Swedish Chef on the Muppets. He makes me laugh, so I can only imagine how much I would be laughing if I was with you. All is well here and there is no new news. Will keep you posted, but have fun!

re: At Sea 2, NorwayVikas Puri Awesome! Put together a pilot, and I'll have my friend George Costanza pitch it to NBC. "The Ride" we'll call it. Seems you are enjoying a bunch of relaxation. Stopping in Oslo, are you? One of my friends is there at the Univ of Oslo studying for the summer, having left her hubby and kids behind in Denver. She is one day younger than me (much like I am one day younger than Heather - funny, eh?) I just chatted with her on FB, and said to myself - "hey, that Heather and Mark cruise is going on. Let's see what those crazy kids are up to." I shall read up on your other posts.

re: Bergen, Norwayak As usual, I got behind on blogs but it sounds like you are having a wonderful time!! The pictures are beautiful! I must mention the heat as everyone else has. I am melting away (wish that was literal:) My kitty wakes me up at dawn when the birds start singing and I thank goodness dawn is not at 3:30am here. Keep up the great blogs...I am vacationing in my mind...
re: Alesund, NorwayFran Yo Yo what up man? That is from Steven. Margo says, "Hope you are having a fun time". They are on the couch on this hot day playing Puzzle and Steven is watching Perry. It is so darn hot. Even the dog is too hot to go into her pool which we got all ready for her. Tonight after dark which is at 10 not 11:32 like in your world we will set off sparklers then to bed. Mauer is going to the All Star Game. Amazing. I went to your house and the flowers looked good but so hot. I watered them but hope it rains this week for them. Julie was there and said the kitties are so fun. They are growing. I told them you guys would be back next Sat. They were a little too busy to listen to me. :) I watched Steven play baseball this morning and then stopped by Colleens to see her new born puppy's. Steven wanted to bring them all home. They are cute. Have a great day. Wow amazing how light it is. Also amazing how wonderfully cool it is. love mom
re: Alesund, Norwaymomt WPW Wow - 2 blog entries at once! We are really enjoying your pictures - love the old buildings & little villages & gorgeous waterfalls - and the temps!! Can't imagine how short the days are! Thanks for keeping up the blog - it's really interesting. We are still very warm here. Dad is outside reading (because he loves this warm weather) while I am inside catching up on email & reading. Picked raspberries at the Sather's house this morning. They are gone for 10 days, so I get to pick (and eat) their berries. What a treat!! I went out picking at 9:30 am & came in dripping from the heat (sorry about the image - yuck!) We'll have raspberries & ice cream tonight!
re: Alesund, NorwayFran You may become as famous as Elton John with tunes like that. Sing it again...please! You photos are stunning again today. Is it still pretty cold? I am not seeing what you are wearing. We had a great day today. Steven played soccer and he was great. Margo is such a great fan. She always finds things to do. We sat in the shade. Then we came home and stood under the sprinkler. Oh so warm out. I am going to visit your house tomorrow morning and then pick up the kids for Gram overnight. Great fun. The beds are full of treats. Keep those messages coming. Love you, mom
re: Geiranger, Norwaymomt Sounds like a relaxing, enjoyable trip. You deserve to be treated as royalty once in a while!! We are treating Muppet as royalty as well (only fitting!!) Ray is our neighbor in AZ & lives in Stillwater up here. I know you met him several times. We took my car in to be repaired - haven't had to drive yours yet, but it is sitting nicely in our garage - cleaned & shiny & ready to use! PS As you can see, this old brain is still passing the math tests as well!
re: Molde, NorwayKath P.S. love that my math skills get tested every time I post. Never too early to test for memory loss I guess. Just so you know, I am passing with flying colors so far
