The Yamuna Bazaar area that we visited has been the target of NGO activity in the past, which is evident by this wrapper from a sterile syringe. If it weren't for these organizations, the IDUs in the area would likely be reusing and sharing needles and syringes, greatly increasing their chances of getting HIV/AIDS or other bloodborne diseases.
