Hi All,
I´ve finally got this blog working and able to provide an update on the travel situation. Have spent the last week in Santiago, Chile and Torres Del Paine National Park on the Southern end of Chile in Patagonia.
Everything going smoothly so far and have seen lots of beautiful mountain peaks and wildlife including guanaco´s (cross between llama and deer), grey fox, condor´s, rhea (similar to emu), flamingo and even a dead taratula in Santiago! My legs are very sore from the last couple of days wlaks (12 hours walking in total!) however we were really lucky and had fantastic weather for the trip. Will try to upload some photo´s of Patagonia as it is close to the best wilderness I have seen anywhere!
We had some fun in the hire car - a small fiat which has had to do some decent four wheel driving through the national park but survived without even a flat tyre.
Heading back to Satiago tommorrow and then head north on our Kumuka tour on Saturday - a few wineries, desert´s, salt flats and high altitude for the next week. While try and update in another week or so.
Hope all is well
Chow for now
