Hazel and Kieran's adventure!
Hi everyone!!!
Well we are in BA and loving every minute of it!!! We have done lots of things since we last checked in with you guys!!!
Since then, we have been to the Argentinian side of the falls and got very wet in a boat ride but loved every minute of it!!! When we got back to camp, we bought a nice bottle of wine for about 70p and then set about drinking it!! When we went to go to bed, we found that we had been invaded...By an ant colony!! For some reason they had decided that they were off (probably Kieran's sandals that did it!) and that they would take shelter in our tent. So we slept on a table that night!!! These ants are HUGE and THEY BITE!!! Take a look at the photos to see the kind of size we are talking about!!!!
Anyway, we then had two days of travelling to do before we hit BA, we stopped at about 8 hrs driving time outside and set up camp. I was on washing up duty, and suddenly i realised that kieran had disappeared. I was then greeted by another lad called matt brandeshing a large stick which was on fire at one end... Yup, you guessed!! Kieran had disappeared to build a campfire.. a rather large campfire directly next to a petrol garage! (He says it was far enough away!!) so he has now been officially nicknamed on the tour as Pyro!!!
The second day we arrived into BA for about 4.30pm and booked into a rather posh hotel. It had hot water and a hairdryer so we both scrubbed several weeks of grime off and pampered and pruned. We then went out to dinner with our group for the first taste of Argentinian steak. Oh and it was eat / drink as much as you can!!! Good fun. The next day we went shopping and on a walking tour of the city that was free and then in the evening we went to see the Buenos Aires Philamonic Orchestra in Concert which was fabulous. We have also been to an Antiques market and sampled the local pizza and done all sorts of things. God bless C & A as we now have some new sparkling clean clothes (give em a week!!!) as ours are filthy!
We are heading to the end of the earth tomorrow (Ushuia) and on route are off to see Sea elephants and a penguin colony (QWOCKLE!!). We will be trekking a glacier soon and wrapping up really warm as it will be colder than the weather you guys in England have had. Snow? whats all this snow marlarky?!?!?!? Its still hot here!
So thats all folks for the moment, we will try to get to a T'internet cafe soon, but its a bit remote now so don't count on it!!!
Wish you were here!!
Lillybugs and Pyro!!!
