Zdrastvuytye! (Zdrast-vuyt-ye) That means Hello in Russian. A prize to the person who pronounces it correctly
Been in St Petersburg for a couple of days now. Won't bore you with statistics and a point to point view of what we've visited and seen. Basically there's lots of really big beautiful buildings, photos of which shall be added soon.
St Petersburg is a lot more friendly and also young compared to Moscow. A lot more dynamic I feel. Moscow is just industry and business! Although, due to it being more tourist friendly it is also more prone to tourist crime! Pick pockets etc... We were warned of this before we came so have been quite vigilant although today we were nearly got the better of. Mike's bag they managed to open while we were walking but he had nothing really in it to steal and my camera bag was obviously a bit more difficult for them. They had cut the strap but not managed to get it open before we noticed what was going on. Its funny as now it seems so obvious looking back at the sequence of events that happened running up to us noticing such as people walking in front of me and just stopping (more than once guys gets a bit suspicious!). But shame, they failed, sorry, move on!!
Not sure whether heading to Hesinki tomorrow or the next day as Mike is not very well. We need to discuss!! But whenever it is.......see you there!!
Until the next time!! Poka (po-ka) (Bye/See ya)
