Said bye to mum and dad at the airport, went into the departure lounge area where I waited for 3 hours till boarding, during which said last bye to sarah and marcus :( Got on the plane, took off at 8.30pm, was abit sad as I reality set in that I was really going away, looked out of the window, high up looked like a volcano- all cloudy with red lights underneath made it look like lava! Was dark and abit scary, also being alone! Only the light on the wing on the plane lit the darkness beyond, was really eerie. Eventually left UK air too, was a sad moment but exciting that theres no turning back. Tried out my TV games- crossword- but didnt work properly! Read letter and list of things Im not allowed to do from Marcus, was funny and made me laugh as usual but also made me sad that Im not going to see him and everyone else for a while. Read schedule for the tour and looked at TV map- interesting! Got given 2 mini cans of coke, water and these pretzel nugget things... thought I would try something new so ate 3 then decided I didnt like them :) - sea salt and cider flavour... what the?! Opened card from Sarah got in post, really nice and funny, made me smile. Watched Babel, with Bradd Pitt, as I had airplane dinner!
