Hi Guys,

Sorry it has been so long since i last wrote, didn't realise it was that long. So I got the PR job and I am now advertising a hairdressing salon by selling promotions on the street. Its a tough job and i didn't think i'd be any good at it but i'm doing all right. You get paid on commision so you have to work really hard but its good fun and all the people i work with are lovely so I've made loads of new friends including a girl called Gemma who is my new best buddy out here, She made my birthday one of the best ever and we pretty much do everything together at the moment. Apart from working i've not been doing much apart from going out and trying to save money. Hostel life is great, meeting so many new people as they come through, its just always sad to see them leave.

For my birthday it was Mardi Gras weekend so we went to the parade as the salon i work for is on oxford st (where the parade is) so they had a big party and they we all went to some clubs after. It was absolutely amazing and had such a good day!

Obviously you all know mum came out to visit which was really nice. Doesn't feel like nearly a year ago since i last saw her. We had a few days in Bondi and I showed her round Sydney, unfortunatly we were having a bad period of weather and she didn't get to really experience bondi at its best. We had a nice day where we did the walk to Coogee beach, along the cliffs, which was really nice. We went to Adelaide to see the Wests which was really nice, they showed us round and took us to the zoo and Monarto safari park. It was really good to see them again as its been years since i last saw them. We got the train back to Sydney which was an experince. Not sure that i'd do it again as the seats were really uncomfy but it was good fun and a great way to see more of the country, saw wild kangaroos hopping around. The train ended up being delayed by about 6hrs but eventually we got back to Sydney. The next day we went to the blue mountains for 3 days, We did a tour which showed us round, and then spent a day exploring on our own. We did some really nice walks all around the 3 sisters which was really nice, perfect weather and beautiful views. It was sad saying bye to mum but nice getting back to the hostel life. I'm sure it won't be too long b4 i see her again. Love you lots, thanks for a great 2 weeks and the best 2weeks of food i've had in a year!!
