Sounds like you are having a fantastic time! I know what you mean about western tourists. It's nice to blend in to the culture when you are overseas, not flash around money and rub it in the locals faces! It's hard to see how some of these poor souls have to live. You can't help everyone but in some cases you can make kind gestures, that make a small difference to someones day.
Study is going well! I've cut back at the nursing home, so that I have more time at home. Sandra and I have been walking most days, down to Mcrae, trying to avoid campers and bikes along the way. We have had a few near misses!
Anyway, keep up the good work, keep patting the cats ( I feed and pat the asian strays every year!), and washing your hands.
lots of love, Amber.xxxx

Another fantastic blog guys. But so sad to read about the little boy. I suppose wherever you go there are always the extremes... Hayles i can totally picture u rooting around in little antique shops :p Gorgeous pictures again too! Have fun, stay safe.
Miss you both xoxo
Barbara
Great photos today - although I think you're a little obsessed with the cemetery!! I love that the croissants are called half-moons, and don;t go touching any of those cats!
Pippa
Hi guys! You guys are such natural travellers, you sound like you're having the time of your lives! Bit awful about the poor boy though. It's not an overly slummy neighbourhood, though, is it?
By the way, I totally expect you to break into Spanish in the middle of conversations when you get back =) All these hours at Spanish school and a year travelling, I expect nothing less than fluency! =D
Will you be calling again this weekend? :D
I will keep reading and commenting, miss you, talk to you sooon!
Love, Pip.

Hi kids - sounds like you're settling in and becoming locals. I'm very envious of the antique shopping ( I remember when you used to refuse to go within cooee of an antique shop Hayley! Antique overload maybe?) . Sad to hear about the little boy - like a lot of big cities you see both extremes I guess. Stay safe

Hi guys great to hear from you to day. Spanish school sounds hard work but a lot of fun, especially with Gisela, sounds like you are both progressing quite nicely.
The 18th century buildings sound fantastic and would be a sight to see.Just after I spoke to you both, Amber popped in to see me,I told her you had asked how her studies were going, she said she is going okay. If she is anything like Katrina and me its a bit of a shock to the system, the first week or so.
Looking forward to the new photos you are downloading soon. , another fantastic blog by the way, rated you another 5 stars.
Love from the Guillots XXXXXXXX

Hi Haley, it's Minh here - the one who takes your job (in case you don't remember me :)) I've just skimmed through your blog, and will find time to read it all.
Everybody misses you. I'm sure you are having a very good time.
Cheers.

Hi Hayley and Ryan, great blog again, thank you for keeping us up to date with your Argentinian adventures. I loved the futbol match report, sounds just like a 1977 Carlton v Collingwood match at Victoria Park:)
