Hey everyone we are settled in Sydney now, after 4 meals and 5 films on our flight we finally made it here! Checked into the Wake Up hostel, really lovely, clean and very friendly people! After catching up on sleep we got our welcome pack and took a walk through the millions of designer shops to Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House! Sun was shining and we had an ice cold corona! We walked back through the beautiful botanic gardens and stopped for lunch! Its the first day of spring so still abit chilly! Met up with a few people also on the same programme as us and had lunch in the rotating tower - amazing views of the whole of Sydney! Wed 3rd we went to the reptile park where we fed kangaroos and had our photos taken with the cutest Koalas! Followed by a trip to 4 vineyards where we tasted over 30 different wines! All tasted and smelt the same in the end apart from Dragons Breath which was schnapps and chilli and it blew our head off! Thur 4th we had a go at surfing - weather wasn't great it was raining and the sea looked rough so we were all abit worried but it was much better once we got in and tried it! I managed to stay on for abit (but not stand up) and I got a few dunks! Marc was a show off and the first to stand up in our group and ride a wave! Defo try it again in the future! Fri 5th we had a beach bbq at Coogee beach, although we where at the beach not quite what we expected! We were huddled in a wood shelter eating sausages and burgers! We then walked from Coogee beach through Waverley cemetry and Bronte beach to Bondi beach! Lovely beach just missing the sun! Sat 6th we visited Sydney aquarium where we seen lots of massive sharks and salt water crocodiles! That night we boarded the PARTY BUS haha it was an experience - full of drunken hooligans jumping up and down and music blasting! Felt 16 all over again! Got to visit a few good bars tho and at least our drinks were free! Sun 7th we went on a cruise from Darling harbour through Sydney Harbour and took in all the surroundings - whilst fending off last nights hangover! Moved into a shared dorm with Mike and Hannah for the last few nights. Spent our last day at Taronga Zoo - it was lovely and sunny and we seen loads and loads of animals including bears, snow leopard, snakes, spiders, flat mice, lions, tigers, seals and penguins. Its a really big zoo with amazing inclosures for the animals, it took us 3 hours to walk round. We decided for our last night we would go out for a proper meal at a nice restaurant and we got ice cream on the way home. Nice early night for a plane ride tomorrow.
