HAPPY VALENTINES DAY <3 xx
Today we got up, showered, packed our bags and headed out for the day as our bus wasn`t until 8.10pm.
We found a little cafe where we had cheese and ham toasties and a cup of engligh tea!
We then spent the whole day wondering up and down the streets and around the markets trying to waste time! We found it quite difficult to get our bearings in La Serena (i have actually learnt that i have a great sense of direction and the boys are usless!) Joe even had a haircut in a little hairdresser in a small mall and it was quite funny as he just told her to shave it all off and she seemed a bit reluctant but did it and then the whole hairdressers was saying `ahhh baby face!`She did a great job and after she even washed his hair with shampoo and conditioner!
We sat in a park for a few hours watching the world go by. There was a little market there too and the boys had a smoothie while i opted for another strawberry and banana choc kebab!
At around 6pm we went for dinner, a nice little restraunt with a court yard (quite expensive but we`d managad to save alot the last couple of days) I had steak chunks in garlic with rice, Joe had steak egg and chips and Craig the same but with rice no chips (I didn´t really like mine!) Then we headed to the hostel to pick up our bags to go get the bus!
While sat waiting at the bus station, the bus arrived and Vicky and Abbey jumped off! There were on the same bus as it had come from Santiago to get us! They were not sat near us though as we were first class we were downstairs. There were only 6 chairs beds in our section! We had a TV too but all the films are in Spanish with Spanish subtitles (pointless!!) We had a `meal`served that consisted of a pepperami sandwich (v dry) a small packet of peanuts (which only I seemed to have) and a fruit pot in juice and a mini bottle of pepsi. (We were glad we had eaten before the bus!) Then the attendent came round and turned our chairs into beds, put a matress on top and gave us pillows and blankets! 15 hours was a doddle!
