Tuesday 3rd May we got a night bus from BA to Mendoza. We left the hostel at around 7.30pm (taxi should only 20 mins from bus station) and jumped in a taxi and said 'reteiro terminal de bus' somehow communication broke down somewhere and the taxi driver had driven for 30 mins to the complete opposite side of BA to where we needed to be! We finally got through that we wanted the bus station and that our bus was leaving at 8.30 and that we'd paid 400 pesos (£60) for this bus! The bus station was probably a 40-50 min drive away from where we had ended up!

The taxi driver was bombing it through the streets of BA slamming his breaks on at traffic lights. We made it to the bus station at 8.30 exactly - it was a huge bus station! Joe legged it to our platform and asked the bus to wait for us. While I was arguing with the driver that we were not paying 100pesos! He finally accepted 30 and we ran to the bus - getting disapproving looks from the driver and passengers!

The was amazing! It was a 13hr drive to Mendoza. Not long after setting off we were served food! A little tray with crackers, cold meat, cheese and salad! With a glass of red wine! Then came a main course of breaded chicken and mashed potato and finally we were offered whiskey or champagne! A film came on (on our individual tv's) seats reclined (as flat as a bed) and as I was quite giddy by now I fell asleep almost straight away! 

The next morning we were woken with orange juice, tea and coffee and pastries just before we arrived in Mendoza!
