It's Friday again - another weekend - doesn't time fly.........
I don't know what you have heard about Napal at the moment but Gill suggested I go on the foregin office website today and see what they say about travel etc. and if I was you I certainly would think twice about visiting Napal. They advise against all but essential travel to Nepal during the current period of enhanced tension as there is a serious risk of being caught up in violence on the streets. They even say that British nationals already in Nepal should decide whether their presence there is essential. All domestic flights into Napal will stop on 20 April as airlines are going to strike. Various curfews have been imposed in Kathmandu and British nationals are asked to respect the curfews and to stay indoors -20.00hrs -0300hrs. I know this all sounds very depressing
- think very carefully about all this as I really do not think it is worth putting yourselves in any danger at all so maybe avoid visiting.

Well hello! Just read your little journal entries, sounds really lovely, bet your loving topping up your tan hayley! Mark, i dont know how much of a sun god you are in comparison to hayley but it all sounds grand! Glad you are having such a good time, 2 months it must almost be now, how exciting! Everyone else seems to be hassling you for some good ol' Thai Kodak moments so I wont add to that pressure, but perhaps a few for us back at home who are truly deprived of the sun! Just a quick note to say hi - I thought there may be a message from you two with some photos - is there a lack of computers
or electrical points in Thialand?? Anyway hope you are both okay and enjoying lazing around as I think you said that you were settling for a little while in a nice spot you had found.

We are off to the caravan tomorrow for Easter so will have a nice relaxing time. I will 'phone or text over the weekend.

I know you are in Thialand - what do you think of Bangkok? Gill doesn't think you will stay in the town too long as it is very busy and quite polluted. Also be careful with the 'tuc tuc' drivers. Apparently Gill and her husband had a lovely day exploring with the help of a tuc tuc driver except when they returned to find him after visiting the last temple for the day he was no where to be seen....................unfortunatley they had paid him up front......

This is my last day at work until Tuesday which is great as it seems a long time since I have had a few days off - by the way I have finished and passed all the ecdl modules - see Boo I'm not a dunce................I know you think I'm clever anyway!!!

Alison is coming up to stay for a day or two over the weekend - so I suppose we will spend the day shopping on Saturday........might pick up one or two things as it is fairly close to us going to Turkey - 5 May.

Anyway the important thing..............I have spoken to Mike Burton a couple of times as when I looked also at the paperwork I reaslied that the Intrepid Travel Voucher stated 19 May 2007. To cut a long story short he has said that this is his error and when he 'phoned Intrepid he was told that the tour in May has been cancelled as not enough response. He has confirmed that he can book you on the next one 3 June - 18 June as they are a few places left but he needs to know asap. You can either 'phone or email. Hope this new date is alright for you, I really don't know if he is telling the truth about not enough response or whether fully booked due to his error.

Will speak on Saturday and hope all will be sorted out by then.

Hi Hayley and Mark - where are the photos??!! Hope you are both having a great time - are you still in Cambodia or have you moved on? I went up to Durham last week to help choose the mother of the groom outfit -not a lot of success. You have both been sent invitations to the wedding. Claire and I are going to Barcelona 17th April for 2 nights - really looking forward to it. I can't send messages on the Hayley & Mark's journal/message board from our home computer so doing this at work. We are working on the garden at the moment - should see a difference when you come home. Really want to hear more about your holidays/travels - keep safe - miss you- continue to have fun. I'm round your house at the mo hay, spending the eve with your mum, she cooked a lovely thai meal (got to keep up with you both!) Got a lot to tell you! Hiya It was lovely to hear from you yesterday especially on Mother's Day. You both sound as if you are having the time of your lives and now you are in parts where the weather is warm you must feel like a million miles from the UK. I am looking forward to seeing some photos - hopefully when you get to Cambodia you will be able to down load some. Will you go to the killing fields in Cambodia? Well tonight I am going to a reflexology class as Lyndsay's model!!!! yes I am having my feet massaged!! Alan is working hard and really needs to have a break. We will be doing some landscaping (?) in the back garden - new patio etc over the Easter hols. Jade is having the naming ceremony for Harry on the 14th. We are off to Verona on the 26th April for a few days - Claire came down as a surprise visit this weekend for Mother's Day. If Hayley is OK with this arrangement I will try to ring you on her phone in the next week or so to catch up and we can settle the money when you both return or settle up with Sue/Gary. Just a little note ...........I wonder what you are doing as I type this - it will be 2am in Vietnam so I presume you will both be tucked up somewhere, I wonder where?

I suppose by now you have moved on....have you managed to find a place where you feel you could stay a little longer yet and put down some roots for a little while? You will then be able to throw down your back pack shell and become a slug for a while.....ha ha
if you don't get the joke.....I am imagining you both as little snails with your packs on your back winding your way along.

Let me know where you are now.....is their a lack of computers in Vietnam as you have not posted a message for a while now? Would love to see some more photos.
